Sue grew up near the seaside town of Portsmouth, UK but she has spent most of her adult life living overseas. Trained as an occupational therapist, she lived in New Zealand for ten years before coming to live in South Australia.
She has won prizes for short fiction and was awarded a mentorship from the Australian Society of Authors for her children's writing.

Sue's YA debut, Heaven Sent, was published by MidnightSun in 2018. Her second book, a dark, psychological (adult) thriller Hide, was published in November 2019. Hide has been longlisted for the 2020 Ngaio Marsh Awards and the 2020 Davitt Awards.

Sue lives in the Adelaide Hills with her partner, daughters and two slovenly greyhounds.
